Jordan Rakei is a brilliant alternative vocalist from London. He was mentioned to the group, Disclosure, by a friend of theirs who saw Jordan performing live in Australia. His skill got him recognized by the influential electronic duo, and he now has a track with them on their new album, Caracal (11th track). These are my favorite tunes off his soundcloud.

Feeling lost in the past today. Here’s some music by Dream Koala. Somber, but incredibly lovely.

My love for electronically-led high pitched vocals started with Cherub, and if you haven’t heard of them, I highly suggest you check them out here (they are amazing live as well). Gibbz opened for Cherub when I saw them in Santa Cruz, CA, and I’ve been following him ever since; Halogen puts an excellent spin on Gibbz’s track, I Found You. I just recently discovered Cherokee, but Glen Check absolutely nails his remix of their track, Teenage Fantasy, which also features Gibbz. All three are great songs to help pump you up on life, in case you’re in need of a little pick-me-up.

Gui Boratto takes you through a very euphoric journey in No Turning Back, & Balduin’s remix of Mandelbarth’s Palmtree is a classic happy/chill dance song. Both have been stuck in my head lately. Enjoy.

Dedicated to the blog that changed my life… Sunday Chillin’s were a tradition on musigh for over 200 Sundays (almost 4 years). Beni stopped posting in March of last year, but his passion for music and the styles of it which he sought are still realized in his faithful and enthusiastic followers. If I can do half as good of a job with my blog as Beni has done with musigh, I will consider it a success. Here’s to you man.

A relaxing tune for your Saturday morning. Conner Youngblood just released a new playlist on Soundcloud called Generation of Lift. A mixture of soothing rhythms with an air about his voice. You can check it out here.
I’ve been really enjoying these two lately. Can’t get Daye Jack’s song out of my head, and Jack Kerwin’s beat gives me the confidence to attempt freestyling every time I hear it (even though I’m pretty damn terrible).
